Bloco dos Corações Valentes é uma história sobre uma despedida inventada. Mocinha, uma mulher lésbica de 70 anos, tem uma vida em comum com Madalena, há 50 anos. Ela se vê próxima da morte. Através das entrelinhas do roteiro podemos entender que ela tem uma doença terminal. Sua morte pode ser agoras, amanhã, daqui a um mês ou um ano. Mas, por alguma razão, Mocinha parece ter certeza que essa será sua última noite e aproveita a visita de Luiz e Zé Ronaldo, o casal de amigos gays de toda a vida, para compartilhar com eles esses momentos que ela acredita serem os últimos.
Na medida em que a história se desenvolve, percebemos através dos diálogos a personalidade dos quatro personagens, os conflitos e identificações que os unem e a profundidade que o tempo de cumplicidade deu a essas relações.
Dentro daquela família não convencional, construída através de laços perenes de irmandade, memórias são atualizadas, conflitos resolvidos, pactos de confiança reafirmados.
Os personagens idosos da história são lúcidos, inteligentes, bem humorados, mordazes. São personagens que vivem o tempo presente, ainda que mergulhem nas lembranças do passado, mas como uma estratégia de não esquecer do orgulho de terem resistido e chegado até a reta final de suas experiências em paz.
O tema da velhice, com o recorte direcionado para personagens LGBTQIA+, procura ser tratado evitando esteriótipos negativos da representação dessas vivências, subvertendo essas imagens
de controle esperadas para esse tipo de narrativa e exaltando a possibilidade de que a velhice seja uma celebração da plenitude de vidas dedicadas à verdade de seus afetos.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Bravehearts is a story about an invented farewell. Mocinha, a 70-year-old lesbian woman, has been living together with Madalena for 50 years. She sees herself close to death. Between the lines of the script we can understand that she has a terminal illness. Her death could be now, tomorrow, a month or a year from now. But, for some reason, Mocinha seems to be certain that this will be her last night and takes advantage of the visit of Luiz and Zé Ronaldo, the couple of gay friends of her life, to share with them these moments that she believes are her last. As the story goes, we perceive through the dialogues the personality of the four characters, the conflicts and identifications that unite them and the depth that the time of complicity gave to these relationships. Within that unconventional family, built through perennial bonds of brotherhood, memories are updated, conflicts resolved, trust pacts reaffirmed. The elderly characters in the story are lucid, intelligent, humorous, biting. They are characters who live in the present, even if they delve into the memories of the past, but as a strategy of not forgetting the pride of having resisted and reached the final stretch of their experiences in peace. The theme of old age, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ characters, seeks to be treated avoiding negative stereotypes of the representation of these experiences, subverting these images of control expected for this type of narrative and exalting the possibility that old age is a celebration of the fullness of lives dedicated to the truth of their affections.

Cineasta e produtora, estudou cinema na Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina. Seu curta de estreia, “Ocorredor”, foi realizado quando ainda era estudante e conquistou 10 prêmios em festivais nacionais. Com “Isto não é um Filme”, ficou entre os finalistas do AXN Film Festival, exibindo seu curta em toda América Latina. Com o curta “Selma depois da Chuva” percorreu 17 países e ganhou 11 prêmios e seu primeiro longa documental “Tio Tommy”, foi lançado no festival É tudo Verdade e premiado como melhor documentário no New York Movie Awards. Coordenou, produziu e co-dirigiu durante 3 anos séries docs para a afiliada da Rede Globo em Santa Catarina (NSC-TV). Seu trabalho concentra-se na direção, produção, direção de arte e figurinos de ficções e documentários, para Cinema e Tv, tendo produzido mais de 40 obras entre curtas, médias docs, longas, séries, videoclipes e projetos de artes visuais. É sócia-fundadora da Vinil Filmes, uma das produtoras mais atuantes de Santa Catarina. Atualmente está pré-produzindo seu primeiro longa ficção “Sangue de Groselha” (projeto premiado pelo Mercado Entrefronteras e Madrugada Sangrenta); e desenvolvendo a série “Ilha do Horror – A Cartilagem” (roteiro publicado em Graphic Novel pela Darkside – lançada em dezembro de 2022).
Filmmaker and producer, studied cinema at the University of Southern Santa Catarina. Her debut short film, “Ocorredor”, was made when she was still a student and won 10 awards at national festivals. With “This is not a Film”, she was among the finalists of the AXN Film Festival, showing her short throughout Latin America. With the short film “Selma after the Rain”, she toured 17 countries and won 11 awards, and her first feature documentary “Uncle Tommy”, was released at the É Tudo Verdade festival and awarded best documentary at the New York Movie Awards. Loli coordinated, produced and co-directed doc series for 3 years for the affiliate of Rede Globo in Santa Catarina (NSC-TV). Her work focuses on direction, production, art direction and costumes for fiction and documentaries, for Cinema and TV, having produced more than 40 works between shorts, medium docs, features, series, video clips and visual arts projects. She is a founding partner of Vinil Filmes, one of the most active production companies in Santa Catarina. She is currently pre-producing her first fiction feature “Gooseberry Blood” (an award-winning project by Mercado Entrefronteras and Madrugada Sangrenta); and developing the TV Show “Horror Island – The Cartilage” (script published in Graphic Novel by Darkside Books – released in December 2022).

Vinil Filmes is an independent film, TV, music video and visual arts production company based in Florianópolis / SC. La Vaca é uma companhia brasileira de teatro criada pelos artistas Milena Moraes e Renato Turnes, em Florianópolis.
Em 2008 iniciou sua trajetória estabelecendo parcerias com dramaturgos da nova cena latino-americana.
Desenvolveu projetos que incluem linguagens diversas, expandindo a experiência com o palco tradicional para o teatro contemporâneo, intervenções urbanas, performance e audiovisual, firmando relações criativas e profissionais com artistas de outros coletivos.
Em pouco mais de uma década de atuação, segue investindo na produção de trabalhos politicamente comprometidos, que buscam o diálogo potente com os espectadores.
La Vaca is a Brazilian theater company created by artists Milena Moraes and Renato Turnes, in Florianópolis.
In 2008, it began its career establishing partnerships with playwrights from the new Latin American scene. It has developed projects that include diverse languages, expanding the experience with the traditional stage to contemporary theater, urban interventions, performance and audiovisual, establishing creative and professional relationships with artists from other collectives. In just over a decade of activity, it continues to invest in the production of politically committed works, which seek a potent dialogue with viewers.
